Our History

PCSTI traces its roots to San Mariano Academy (SMA), founded in 1964 at Barangay San Mariano, Roxas, Oriental Mindoro. In 1993, the institution was renamed Paradigm Colleges of Science and Technology, Inc. (PCSTI) and relocated to Paclasan near Roxas town proper to improve connectivity and services.

PCSTI pioneered several firsts in the second district of Oriental Mindoro — the first hands-on computer learning program, the first multimedia library in the province, and the first to introduce the dual training system. Starting with just 35 students, the school has grown to over 500 enrollees per semester.

The college began with four pilot TESDA courses including 2-Year Electronics Technology and Office Management with Computer. By 2002, the 2-Year Hotel and Restaurant Services was established, followed by 2-Year Nursing Aide in 2004. All programs were later aligned with TESDA's Competency Based Curriculum at NC II level.

Today, PCSTI is recognized by TESDA as a Center of Excellence (CENTEX) and serves as an Assessment Center for Food and Beverage Services, Housekeeping, Bartending, Commercial Cooking, Front Office Services, Consumer Electronics Servicing, Computer Hardware Servicing (all NC II), and Programming NC IV.

PCSTI maintains partnerships with over 40 companies — from local resorts and cooperatives to multinational establishments like Solaire Resort, Okada Manila, and Bloomberry Resorts Corporation. The institution was the first to send trainees abroad, with graduates pursuing international internships in Singapore and Malaysia.

The school also pioneered an Alumni Wellness Program that prioritizes graduates for employment opportunities across the institution's industry linkages from Region IV to Metro Manila.
